      Dedication

To the most wonderful parents anyone could ask for.

You give so much and ask so little.

      Author’s note

At the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death (2007) I saw a startling set of televised interviews. The interviewer was questioning witnesses about the discovery of Elvis’ body, but not one of them could agree on the simplest of details: the time of day, the position of the body, what color pajamas Elvis was wearing or even where the body was found.

It is a little known fact that Joe Esposito, when interviewed at Baptist Memorial Hospital on camera, claimed that he found Elvis dead in bed! How could this be? Why are none of these stories matching and why are they changing?

When numerous inconsistencies in witness death scene statements on the simplest of details didn’t align, I began to dig. After five years of digging I found the best 45 factual sources to include in my research and the product of what I uncovered simply dropped my jaw.

This was a very difficult book for me to write. I didn’t want to know that Elvis Presley was murdered and it angered me so much that I almost didn’t write it. But after months of denial and internal anguish I felt as if it was my duty to pass on what I had discovered to the people who deserve the truth the most, the fans of the King.

Those living under the misconception that this book was just written to make a ‘quick buck’ have obviously never written a book. Painstaking hours upon painstaking hours have gone into the research, writing, phone calling and the gathering of the necessary facts and permissions. There is no way I could ever be paid enough for this book to be a profitable venture. Truly my sole intention is to tell my fellow Elvis fans the truth.

This book was written by an Elvis fan, for Elvis fans everywhere so that they may know the truth behind this massive cover up. Elvis would be very proud of this book because it tells the truth and pays him the homage that he deserves.

      Introduction

This book is presented solely for entertainment purposes. It is a Creative Nonfictional book that weaves a hypothesis based on years of researched facts.

Some of these facts have existed in other authors’ works for decades and have been presented within this manuscript to assist the author, and reader, with the development of the storyline.

In order to get as close to the truth as humanly possible, the material selected for presentation dealt only in first hand experiences and were of the best ‘source direct’ content available.

While the best efforts have been used in preparing this book and the author has quoted several official and credible sources, the content is a narrative of those gathered facts. The author is not a professional law enforcement agent or criminal investigator.

This manuscript was written without ghost writers, malice or ulterior motives. The author’s sole intention is to solve the long standing mystery surrounding Elvis Presley’s death and not to discredit or defame any character in the manuscript’s factual hypothesis.

The literary journalism within this manuscript has finally assembled a believable and final event out of the scrambled and conflicting reports repeatedly warped in the public consciousness for years.

Those who read this book the first time will do so to learn about Elvis Presley’s murder. Those who read this book the second time will do so to try and wrap their minds around how deeply the powers behind the murder went. Those who read this book the third time will never look at the hierarchical powers in this world the same way again.
