      Preface I

‘There were Nephilim on the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, these were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.’

       Genesis 6:4

‘And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted and proclaim the healing of the earth, that it may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons.’

       The Book of Enoch

      Preface II

‘Enshrined within your flawed scriptures, scrawled in the ancient languages I taught, lay my titles and deeds. They are but faded glimpses of my true countenance; gossamer threads of truth, hidden within a tangled web of Elyon’s lies. Yes my children, though you called me Satan, father of all lies; twas was not I dared call myself God. Twas not I concealed the terrible truth of your creation.’

       The Testament of Semyaza

‘Hey! That’s fancy political rhetoric for; ‘we came, we saw, we screwed you thicko hominids over’! See, twas the two timing, underhand, self serving, manipulative frogs, created this messed up world!’ Twas those slimy mothers built Angstville!’

       The Testament of Daniel Lightfoot

Thoughts on a Mote of Dust

       Wandsworth Remand Centre, September 2012

“Look Daniel! It’s really very simple. Plead insanity and you’ll get ten years in a secure psychiatric hospital. That is, if you forget this nonsense about Fallen Angels, frogs from Anu, and Kallu Hums; well frankly your entire story. With good behaviour you’ll probably get out in five to seven. Don’t you see Daniel; it’s only your public persona allows me to broker such a deal? Killing a police officer is about the biggest taboo in polite society old man.”

I gazed indifferently at my corpulent Barrister with sagging jowls and reptilian eyes, before staring in fascination at countless dust particles suspended in a beam of sunlight.

“What’s your thoughts on motes Benjamin?”

Benjamin Roland QC gazed thoughtfully at my case files littering the table of the cramped, airless interview room.

“Daniel, I am your legal representative. As such, I neither expect nor wish you to lie. I must however relay the facts of this case and tell you in all honesty your chances of evading conviction for the murder of Detective Sinclair are zero! After all; you were arrested beside his body holding the murder weapon!”

‘What the hells that got to do with motes?’

‘I believe you asked him if he expected you to lie Mr Lightfoot.’

‘Did I Mr Ameazak? That’s strange! See; I wanted to know his thoughts on motes.’

‘You’re a little unhinged Mr Lightfoot. I told you not to go.’

My Barrister studied me with those familiar expressions of feigned concern tinged with growing exasperation.

“Daniel! Are you listening to me?”

“Yeah Benjamin! You’re saying I’m legalistically up the steamy brown creek without no mode of propulsion. The wig’s gonna send me down!”

“Correct Daniel. I must therefore advise you of what I feel to be the best case scenario for Daniel Lightfoot; that being a plea bargain with the authorities.”

‘There is no doubting motes give our existence a sense of perspective Mr Lightfoot. It was the eminent physicist Carl Sagan who penned the compelling narrative; ‘Thoughts on a mote of dust’. A thought provoking essay in which he compared a picture of Earth taken from Mars to a dust mote. An infinitesimally small, irrelevant spec drifting amongst countless billion other mote worlds. A particle upon which every human thought and deed has occurred.’

‘But that’s not true is it Mr Ameazak? I mean, I’ve been to another mote in a completely alternative shaft of sunlight.’

‘Indeed Mr Lightfoot, but in fairness to Mr Sagan, he obviously had no knowledge of Kallu Hums.’

      “Daniel?.. DANIEL?”

      “Sorry Benjamin; please continue.”

My Barrister swept a pudgy hand imperiously over the files. “Frankly, I have nothing. No credible evidence with which to defend you. In a system where bullshit can be stretched, I regrettably have none to offer.”

He paused, waiting for his words to permeate.

‘That’s bad isn’t it Mr Ameazak? I mean; being shitless!’

‘Unfortunately, I do believe your case is fait accompli Mr Lightfoot.’

Benjamin exhaled a heavy sigh, before irritably snapping open a bulging manila file. “Right Daniel! Let us once again review the facts of this case. So perhaps you will finally grasp the hopelessness of your situation.”

I nodded absently, watching mote worlds settle gently onto Benjamin’s thinning grey hair.

“You deny the murder of Detective Sinclair and maintain he was in fact murdered by an assassin on the orders of the Yamin Elohiym; a secret Priesthood who’s existence you first learnt of from a Fallen Angel named Semyaza. An entity you claim approached you four years ago under the pseudonym of Mr Ameazak?”

“You got it Benjamin; like I said in my book, I met him a few days after spotting those Priests.”

“The Priests you claim had been following you?”

“Yeah; those guys been freaking me out! But hey! The God Squad couldn’t hold a god-dam candle to old Mr Ameazak! I mean, he terrified the living du-du out of me!”

      The Testament of Semyaza

       Chapter 1

I awoke to the sound of small intermittent fire crackers accompanied by the incessant hiss of baking sap. Staring curiously at the ceiling lit garishly in a wavering glow, my nostrils flared with the
