Note from the Author.
I wrote this book because the American Election of 2016 upset me. It upset me because people did not like the candidates but yet they continued to win. Then there were rumors of impropriety at yet they still continued to win. This bothered me so much that I decided to write a book about it.
I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged me and told me that I can do anything. I decided to try and change America's mind.
I hope this book makes you think, and that you enjoy it.
Love,
Chelsea Elizabeth.
Setting the Scene
The 2016 election cycle has been heating up. This will be one of the most interesting elections in awhile, and a lot of that has to do with the increase in social media in the election process. The other reason that the this election will be fascinating is because of the candidates themselves, and least the candidates that are worth mentioning. They are big personalities and with big ideas and some want to make some serious changes to America, this is certainly different. Instead of having four candidates that are basically all the same and interchangeable, they are more than a little bit unique.
The first candidate is Ronald Card. He is a businessman and a billionaire. He is well known as never saying sorry and being brutally honest. Many people will call him racist and a cheater. Others will call him a scam artist and rude. He is running for the Republican Nomination for President of the United States.
The second candidate is Ulysses Sail. Sail is running against Card and therefore is also running for the Republican nomination. He is much more center than Card, and is a much smaller name, and a smaller personality. One would argue that his personality is much more presidential, but what everyone can agree on is that he is a quieter personality than Card. There have been questions about whether or not Sail is even eligible to be president because he held dual citizenship up until he decided to run for the nomination.
The third candidate is Brittany Bunker. Bunker has had an entire lifetime in politics, from being First Lady, to being Secretary of State and things in between. She is the establishments choice for democratic nominee and front runner. There are many people who do not trust her due to a number of scandals that have occurred over the past number of years. She is known to be a career politician through and through, and that makes some people think she is qualified, and others believe it means she is too dirty and should not be allowed to be president.
The fourth candidate is Moses Schwartz. He is the most surprising candidate because he is a self proclaimed socialist. This is beyond shocking because that is the most dirty word in politics and the fact that he is doing so well with that brand is shocking. He also is a Jew which is shocking because while America might be multi-cultural, it is unusual for the candidate to be Jewish. Schwartz is the opponent of Bunker and is giving her a fight that nobody saw coming.
Those are the four candidates to keep an eye on during this election season, they are the four candidates that are going to keep this fight interesting and to be honest one of those four will be the president, barring something crazy happening. Keep your eyes on the news, and on the internet because there will be a lot of interesting events occurring on the internet, if these candidates have anything to say about it.
This election cycle is the first one that we here at this blog are paying close attention to, but we continue to research old election cycles to try and reconcile the differences between the old elections and these elections. If you have a perspective that we have not brought up, we urge you to email us, or tweet us because we want to give as many different opinions as possible. We want to give all the sides of an argument that we are capable of giving the American people. We are not trying to force our views on anyone, we are just trying to get people interested in what is going on in this country.
Keep an eye on twitter if you want to see things truly heat up, because Card is going to say some interesting things there, if prior experience is anything to go by.
The Card Campaign.
Looking around the campaign office Scott cannot believe his luck! His first summer that he can afford to take off and he got a volunteer position with the Card campaign. He will get real experience on a campaign that will most likely win. No one can beat Card, of that Scott is sure. Scott knows that Card is larger than life but that is exactly why Scott wants to learn from him. Card is not a career politician, he is a businessman and a showman who has decided that it is time for America to have a change in government. Scott knows that the showmanship aspect of Card isn't great but he is willing to look past that because he believes that that Card can cause great change. Card realizes that the career politicians have run this country into the ground, and he believes that he is the man for the job. To have that kind of confidence, to have that kind of belief in yourself, that is something to learn from, if nothing else.
But the best part really, is that his best friends all also got jobs on campaigns and they already have a bet in place for who will win. The four of them are extremely competitive and considering they all got jobs on different campaigns, of course they made a bet.
His friend, Sarah who got a job working on the Schwartz campaign is his favorite, because really, how will a Socialist Jew with a last name of Schwartz ever win in AMERICA? But he knows that Sarah will fight harder than any of them, she is the idealist and believes that America can change, that America wants to change, and that Schwartz is the one to lead that change.
That is such garbage, Scott thinks but he isn't going to say anything, because really, Sarah is scary when she is angry, and he does not need another rant about the idealism that built this country. Scott might be a strong individual and not afraid to state his opinion but not to Sarah, because no one wants to anger her. She is so righteous and while he might want to playfully debate with her, he would never seriously try and debate her, because he will lose.
Capitalism is what runs this country, and therefore Card is the clear choice, he is a proven business man and a proven winner, so clearly he is the best choice. Ronald Card will be the next President of the United States, and I am going to be right there, working behind the scenes to help him get there. His friends might think that he is a selfish bugger because he believes in a capitalist country, but it is the only way to make sure that everyone gets what they deserve. Capitalism doesn't mean that there can be no social programs, but that there must be stronger restrictions on the social programs so that the people who use them are the ones who truly deserve it, rather than people abusing the system.
The four of them were just itching to get started, knowing that they won't really be doing important work, but still, its POLITICS, how could they not be excited? So what if they are just going to be answering phones, getting coffee and making copies, a place cannot run without people answering phones, copies and coffee. Lord knows a place cannot run without coffee.
"Hey new kid, get on a phone and start working!" Some grumpy man yelled at Scott, making Scott jump.
"Sorry sir." Scott quickly found an empty desk with a phone and a script to use quickly getting to work.
The Schwartz Campaign.
Sarah looks around and cannot believe her luck, not only did she get a job working on a campaign this summer, but she got a job with her favorite candidate, Moses Schwartz. She knows that everyone seems to think that he is a big joke, but he is gaining on Bunker, so clearly he is doing something right. Sarah loves the fact that America seems to be ready for a socialist Jew to take over and run the country. Even if all of America isn't
