Adventure Tales #5. Vincent 1886-1974 Starrett

The fifth issue of Adventure Tales salutes pulp legend Achmed Abdullah, popular writer in the pulp magazines in the early 20th century, with two long stories – «Their Own Dear Land» and «The Remittance Woman.» Many of his stories deal with ex­otic locales, usually Oriental. But even his Occidental tales are of interest, well written and fast paced, often with an unexpected twist or two. Also included are «The Mid-Watch Tragedy,» a Jimmy Lavender detective story by Vincent Starrett, and «The Pearls of Paruki,» by J. Allan Dunn. Another great issue!
