INTRODUCTION
As I write this introduction, I am in my sixth year of incarceration. Prior to my imprisonment, I lived a blessed life: wonderful family, challenging and rewarding job, travel for both civilian and military careers; daily prayer and weekly church attendance, extensive education.
As a Roman Catholic Christian, Bible readings were an integral part of every Church service 365 days a year, around the world. But I took it for granted. Although I had a Bible, I rarely read it outside of Church.
When my faith was severely challenged several years ago, I did not have on the full armor of God. As a result, I stayed away from prayer, the Bible and worship for 6 years. My bountiful life disintegrated. I became a failure at everything. And when the biggest test came, I failed, ultimately leading to my arrest, conviction and harsh sentence.
In my first year of incarceration, mostly waiting for trial, I was exposed to Bible Study Correspondence Courses. I pursued them (and still do) energetically. In addition, my cousin, Marlaine Peachey, sent me a Bible as the first book I received in jail. This was no coincidence.
At this point in my life I am still trying to fight the good fight against evil every day. The Word of God sustains me and strengthens me daily. The power of Scripture is what led me to select these verses for Christians, pointing out what a Christian should be, should know, and should do, loosely based on the Army Leadership Model.
It is my hope that these verses will all Christians in need of support and hope. All the answers we need are in the Bible. I joyfully study it every single day. I am now a graduate of Bible College, from Victory Bible Institute of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is my hope that this work encourages further study of scripture for all who read it.
My wish for you is that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ blesses you abundantly, and provides the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit in great measure to you.
Finally, I must proclaim Jesus is Lord, and He is risen from the dead!

Prisoner for The Lord
1 WHAT EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD BE
1.As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:1-2
2.Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:3
3.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Luke 6:36
4.Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:10-11
5.Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
6.Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:20c-21
7.Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
8.Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
9.Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” Mark 5:36
10.Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12
11.Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. Philippians 2:14-16a
12.Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6
13.Because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:5b-6
14.Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13
15.For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and
