The journey toward this book began with Robin D. G. Kelley, who has been instrumental both behind the scenes and in direct ways, in realizing its completion. Robin’s initial work on many of the biographical details of Cedric J. Robinson’s life was both inspiration and guide. His faith was also a steadying force.
