34. Step to boost your mindset for success: Combine your goals with recurring everyday activities
If you remind yourself of your goals several times a day, it will be easier for you to stay motivated and on the home stretch. To do this, you can simply combine a day-to-day activity with your objectives. Choose something that you use several times a day. For example, you can stick a note or picture of your destination on your bathroom mirror or, for example, a password that you use frequently with your destination. Do you drink much coffee? Then make your coffee cup the medium of your destination and stick a picture or the word of your destination on your cup, and every time you enjoy your coffee, you automatically think of your destination. You could also use your pack of cigarettes or other items that you use several times a day to focus on your goal. The more often you deal with your goal, the faster you will achieve it. Take advantage of the opportunities that your everyday life offers you and let your goals be taken into account wherever possible. There are no limits to your imagination, it is only important that you do not lose sight of your goals and are reminded of them as often as possible. In this way, the necessary can be meaningfully combined with the useful and you use all possibilities to continuously come closer to your goal. Use the energy of your desire, which can unfold anew each time you recall your goal.
35. Step to boost your mindset for success: To-do lists
In order to be successful, a lot has to be mastered and done, and yet there should be enough room not to lose the important motivation on the way to the goal. That is why it is essential to structure yourself thoroughly and to plan your everyday life well. To-do lists have proven to be very effective in this respect. Write a list for each day, adapted to your resources, and note everything you want to create on that day. However, you should always take into account sufficient breaks and also times during which you can consciously deal with your goal and do not overtax yourself! Consistent and permanent "less" is "more" than too much, because too much can quickly lead to a breakdown that can bring your motivation and self-confidence to the cellar. That's why you take care of yourself and adapt your requirements to yourself and to your realistic resources. To-do lists have the positive effect of being able to celebrate small successes every day, because you can simply cross out or tick off what has been done and at the end of the day you can see how much you have actually achieved. However, if at the end of the day you find that you haven't done a lot of things on your list, you should honestly question that and adjust your to-do list accordingly in the future. Perhaps you have taken on too much or you have avoided certain tasks. However, as long as you have successfully completed at least 80% of the activities you have planned, you can look forward to and be proud of yourself. At the end of the day, with your ticked off to-do list, you have something visible in your hand by which you can clearly and easily measure your success and this is incredibly important to continuously build your self-confidence and faith in yourself, but also your belief in achieving your goals.
36. Step to boost your mindset for success: Maintaining motivation on the way to the big goal
Who doesn't know it! The e-mail box is overflowing, the next unprocessed letters are waiting in the mailbox and the dishes are waiting, but the motivation is in the cellar and you would simply prefer to lie down on the sofa and talk to friends or do something else pleasant. A good way to pull yourself together is to be aware of what it is good for, for example, if you process your emails or do the washing up promptly. To illustrate this quite consciously, it can be helpful to make a note of the reasons behind each task on your daily to-do list, with a view to achieving the actual big goal. This could look like this, for example: - Papers for the Office erledigen→ Reasons: Achieve financial freedom - Email abarbeiten→ Reasons: Clarity and structure to be independent, etc. So if you put your daily work in a meaningful relation to your main goal, you get your incentive and suddenly realize how much easier your activities are going to be. We all want to do something meaningful. By giving meaning to your rather unattractive but necessary everyday activities, your inner resistance disappears and you can pick yourself up again in the service of your goal. Be aware that you are on the best path to autonomy in achieving your goals, because if you achieve your goals, you have actively shaped your life the way you want it to be.
37. Step to boost your mindset for success: Finding a balance between empathy and expectation
Expect a lot from yourself and exceed your own limits, but don't overtax yourself and don't be too strict with yourself. If a day doesn't go as well or if you don't always manage everything as you have planned, then show compassion for yourself. We are all human beings, not machines, and should be loving and empathic towards ourselves. If your body signals to you that it is tired and needs a break, then give it the well-earned rest period. After that you can get back to work fresh and energized and you will be efficient and concentrated again. Try to strike a balance between the ambition to achieve your goal in a disciplined manner and an appropriate compassion for yourself. It doesn't help you to demotivate yourself and to torment yourself with self-reproaches, because it doesn't work that way, it only weakens you unnecessarily. Treat yourself just as you would treat a loved one close to you if they were frustrated and depressed. Expect a lot from yourself, challenge yourself, but don't overtax yourself.
38. Step to boost your mindset for success: Allow yourself time out
To be successful, high performance and a lot of endurance are necessary. So that you can get off to a good start and stay on the ball in the long term, it is immensely important to allow yourself sufficient rest periods and phases to recharge your batteries and energy. Consciously create a balance to the stressful everyday life and take care of yourself. With replenished resources it can then go on concentrated again, with new energy. Only when you are well and fit do you have the strength and stamina you need. To stay on track for success. However, if you overtax yourself, you run the risk of running out of air halfway! Go for a walk in the fresh air. Go in for sports! Exercise and fresh air get you going again and energize you anew. Also, make sure you get a good and restful sleep. You should make sure that you really do have your 8 hours of recovery sleep. The well-known afternoon nap, also known as 10-minute sleep or power napping, has also proven to be extremely effective. Our body is able to regenerate quickly, so even a small nap is enough to recharge your batteries and make you fit and powerful again. In addition, small sleep breaks benefit your cardiovascular system, but also your soul and your brain, which is usually flooded with irritants, and thus prevent burn-out and cardiovascular diseases. You can take a little nap anytime, anywhere. You should simply set an alarm clock to wake you up after a 30-minute break at the latest, otherwise you will fall into a deep sleep phase, which makes it difficult to get up again. As we now know, a short nap is enough to revitalize you. So take a little nap more often and see for yourself how you can get to work in a more balanced and energetic way and thus create your everyday life much easier.
39. Step to boost your mindset for success: Dealing calmly with envy and hostility
As soon as you are successful, you call envious and envious people on the plan. Don't let this discourage you or even distract you from your path! Every successful person knows this situation. They will never all agree and so you can't expect everyone to like what you do or that others value your work. There will always be people who will not grant you your success! Envy, like all other emotions, belongs to our nature and can be found everywhere. Mostly envious people, people with a weak self-esteem. So if you can understand that envious people have deep-seated problems of their own and their behaviour has nothing to do with you personally, it is also easier for you to deal with possible envious people and their envy. Apart from that you should keep in mind that you should actually feel flattered, because
