Story I
"Would you please tell him that Sarah Powell called again? I’ll be in my office until 6 pm.
"Thank you." Sarah sighed as she disconnected the call.
Why did things have to go wrong today of all days? It was Valentine’s Day, and she was supposed to be meeting Kenneth for dinner tonight. She wasn’t able to get this last phone call completed because the man was supposedly in a meeting and had been all day. Well, it didn’t matter. She was getting out of there at 6 pm sharp and she didn’t care what Dave said.
Dave was her business partner and he lived to work. Even though Sarah had expressly told him that she wouldn’t be available after 6 pm tonight, she was sure he would conveniently forget. She had even written it in huge red letters on the wall calendar in both of their offices. So he had no reason to try to keep her, but it never failed to happen when she had special plans. Tonight was going to be different, though. Kenneth had hinted that it would be a very special night.
Sarah busied herself with tying up some loose ends for the day as she waiting for the return of her phone call. It didn’t happen and by 5:55 pm she was signing out of her computer and tidying her desk up. She had started to believe that she might actually get out of here without Dave trying to delay her just as she heard him enter the reception area of the office. With a sinking stomach, she waited for him to come into her office.
"Hey Sarah! You’re taking off already?" He asked.
"Yes, Dave. I’ve got special plans for tonight and I told you about this a month ago. If you’ll check on your calendar, you’ll see it written in huge red letters. "So yeah, I’m going."
"Well, did you get in touch with Bradley?"
"I’ve left at least 6 messages with him today to call me back, and he’s supposedly been in a meeting all day. So no, I haven’t spoken to him."
"Oh hey, then you can’t leave until he calls you back!" Dave protested.
"Yes, Dave, I can leave and I will. Nothing is going to keep me from having a great Valentine’s Day with Kenneth tonight, short of someone’s death. So if Bradley does feel led to call back, you can talk to him. I’ll see you tomorrow."
Sarah strolled briskly past Dave and through the reception area on her way to the door with him sputtering and stammering the entire time. She never even broke her stride as she went through the door and out into the parking area where her car was parked. As she drove away towards home, she could see that he had actually followed her to the parking lot. What an ass, she thought.
Exactly one hour later, Sarah was freshly showered, spoiled herself with some irresistible looking candy that tasted like heaven and dressed and ready to go.
That candy still looked as appealing to her in that red shiny holiday wrap as the day when she had bought it. She bought it a few days ago from that favorite gourmet shop of hers right around the corner from where she lives. The candy immediately caught her eyes and appealed to her the moment she set her eyes on that box of Valentine treats wrapped in red shiny paper with two beautiful bows around it. She did it again. She wrapped the box open and helped herself with the most delicious tasting candy that she has ever tasted.
In her mind her intentions with gourmet food where always good because she always had bought these scrumptious holiday gifts with her friends and her lover Kenneth in mind, but she always had ended up desiring the candy more than desiring the moment of giving the delicacy to her loved ones.
She did not want them to notice her weakness for candy and chocolate.
She always had found a creative way to get her out of this troubled situations involving food gifts because she had managed to open the gourmet gift and had eaten it herself because she had also bought a second back-up gift like she did it this time with Kenneth's Valentine gift again.
She had bought an elegant red pen for Kenneth. The kind that he always had told her he liked. He had told her he had to get it one day just to write her the most beautiful love poem one day.
She adored Kenneth for his romantic taste and justified her lack of personality with her own kind of generosity that always has helped her covering up
her real weaknesses.
"Damn it that box of Valentine candy was meant to be Kenneth's Valentine gift. I just can't help it. That damn candy is just stronger than my personality!"
, she said out loud in an angry tone.
Angry about her own lack of discipline and angry that she again had almost spoiled her Valentine's dinner with Kenneth, she had thrown the box in a drawer because she had known that this is the only kind of punishment for her. She had been looking forward to that Valentine's gourmet dinner for the whole week and ruining it like this had been out of the question.
She totally ignored her lack of resistance to sweets and forced herself to focus on her voluptious body that Kenneth had written love letters with chocolate paint on. She forced herself to think about what was going to happen later tonight after dinner. She hoped for her favorite chocolate body paint dessert in privacy with Kenneth. She had always enjoyed these most romantic moments when Kenneth had painted her body with warm and enjoyable chocolate body paint. He had written the most poetic love rhymes onto the most intimate places of her voluptious and sexy body. These rhymes
