through generic Adam

life on the planet
— a continuity that does,
I must confess,
boggle the mind —
but God made me
as if He had made
no other one

for a Lover
each person happens
NOW
and no other when
CONCEIVE
to bring
and to have brought
into being
through God
one called
to live forever
intimately
with God
what a stunning
mind-scalding
thing to do
and to have done
could anything
conceivably
be greater —
none
TRANSPLANT
The surgeon, master of the arts,
has learnt to plant organic parts
but never will and never can
effect a change of heart in Man
for God alone
has the craft
in place of human hearts of stone
to graft his own.
REFLECTIONS
The prism of the mind explodes the world
into a million colors
a dazzling university
with too little time for wonder
wonder at the way a leaf may fall
simply at evening into half-still waters
that till this moment held a silent face
peering
out at the dying day.
