chap. 14,9.10
Matt. 17,13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptist.
Luke 1,17
Matt. 17,14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
Matt. 17,15 Master, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falls into the fire, and often into the water.
Matt. 17,16 And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.
Matt. 17,17 Then Yahshua answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him here to me.
Matt. 17,18 And Yahshua rebuked the demon; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Matt. 17,19 Then came the disciples to Yahshua apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
chap. 10,1
Matt. 17,20 And Yahshua said to them, Because of your little faith/ unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove from here to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
chap. 21,21; Luke 17,6; 1 Cor. 13,2
Matt. 17,21 But this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.
Mark 9,29
Second announcement of Yahshua's suffering and resurrection.
(Mark. 9,30-32; Luke 9,43-45)
Matt. 17,22 And while they abode in Galilee, Yahshua said to them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
chap. 16,21; 20,18.19
Matt. 17,23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised up. And they were exceeding sorry.
Matt. 17,24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Does not your master pay tribute?
Exodo 30,13
Matt. 17,25 He said, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Yahshua prevented him, saying, What think you, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
Matt. 17,26 Peter said to him, Of strangers. Yahshua said to him, Then are the children free.
Matt. 17,27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go you to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you have opened his mouth, you shall find a piece of money: that take, and give to them for me and you.
Chapter 18
The greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
(Mark. 9,33-47; Luke 9,46-48)
Matt. 18,1 At the same time came the disciples to Yahshua, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Matt. 18,2 And Yahshua called a little child to him, and set him in the midst of them,
Matt. 18,3 And said, Truly I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall never enter into the kingdom of heaven.
chap. 19,14
Matt. 18,4 Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matt. 18,5 And whoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me:
chap. 10,40
Matt. 18,6 But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Luke 17,1.2
Matt. 18,7 Woe to the world because of offenses! for it must needs be that offenses come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
Matt. 18,8 Wherefore if your hand or your foot offend you, cut them off, and cast them from you: it is better for you to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
chap. 5,29.30
Matt. 18,9 And if your eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: it is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire.
Matt. 18,10 Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones! for I say to you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Hebr 1,14
Matt. 18.11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
chap. 9,13; Luke 19,10
The lost sheep.
(Luke 15,4-7)
Matt. 18,12 How think you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seek that which is gone astray?
Matt. 18,13 And if so be that he find it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
Matt. 18,14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Matt. 18,15 Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.
Lev. 19,17; Luke 17,3; Gal 6,1
Matt. 18,16 But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
Deu. 19,15
Matt. 18,17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it to the assembly: but if he neglect to hear the assembly, let him be to you as a heathen man and a publican.
1 Cor. 5,13; 2 Thes. 3,6; Titus 3,10
Matt. 18,18 Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
chap. 16,19; John 20,23
Matt. 18,19 Again I say to you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven.
