2009 from the University of Kentucky. He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a Master of Health Science (M.H.S.) in molecular microbiology and immunology with specialization in international health and vaccine science and policy in 2010. He received his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2014 and completed a research fellowship in the Department of Surgery, where he studied adipose-derived stem cells. He serves on the editorial board or as a reviewer for over ten journals and is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Kentucky. He plans to pursue a career as a surgeon-scientist with research interests in surgical oncology, stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
