Jianwei Wang received his BA and MA degrees in International Politics from Fudan University in Shanghai and PhD in Political Science from University of Michigan. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration, Director of Institute of Global and Public Affairs, University of Macau. Previously, he served as a distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He has worked and served in many other teaching and research institutions such as Sigure Center for Asian Studies at George Washington University, the Atlantic Council of the United States, the East–West Center in Hawaii, the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research in Geneva, the East Asian Institute in Singapore, Fudan University and Sun Yat-Sen University in China. His research interests focus on Sino-American relations, East Asian security affairs, Chinese foreign policy and Sino-Japanese relations. He has published extensively in these areas.
