This simple process brings about instant motivation and inspires you to try, when normally you may not have. Now you’re making an attempt when normally you wouldn’t have even tried. Let’s build up that confidence!
Replace the thought. Reverse the thought. Tell yourself that you are good enough. Tell yourself that things will be okay. Is it true? Well, it is no more of a lie than telling yourself something negative. At least, you will feel better and be in a better position to thrive. Considering that things usually work out, it is more accurate than your negative thoughts.
When confronted with the problem of constructing optimistic life modifications, there are a couple of steps you may take that may provide help to battle and overcome them with much less stress.
Establish at what point you are within the change process: Pre-contemplation, contemplation, willpower, action, upkeep, or relapse.
What are the cost and benefits of making this change? Make a list of the costs and benefits of making a change versus alternatives.
Think about anyone in your network that may be useful in solving the issue. This is your layer of support. Reach out to them.
When you begin looking for solutions start by writing down things you have previously explored and the information you have acquired. This helps to better focus your attention on the next steps.
Rate how things are on a scale of 1 to 5. What will things look like at a 4 or 5? What will be different?
In times of overwhelm or crisis, you can change the focus from overwhelm into solution-mode. Ask: What have you learned from similar experiences that may apply to this situation?
Suspend reality for a few minutes to dream of a time when things are better. What would that look like?
Think big! thinking can expand your belief of what is possible. You can challenge limits. You need to view the world in a new way to accomplish big objectives. Get out of your comfort zone. Believe in yourself. If you want it, go get it. You are where you are because of what you think.
If you think this is all I can do... that is all you are going to do. If you believe you can do better... you will do better. This involves what you think. In order to achieve more, your thinking has to evolve from its current state. You have to have a growth mindset, a wealth mindset. Remember, it is your current way of thinking and beliefs that lead you to where you are.
Set goals that are obtainable. You should set a big goal. Obtain this big goal by setting smaller goals that will lead you to accomplish the big goal. Do not set the big goal and just dive into trying to make it happen. This is where many go wrong. Going to a big goal without a plan can lead to one being discouraged and giving
up. The assumption is always... all I have to do is. Then once you start, you realize you should have done something else first while on your quest to achieve this goal, and the move you just made was a waste of time because it didn’t work without something else being in place first. Therefore, you plan. Break that goal apart to see what action steps are needed, then put the action steps in order.
You need to plan, strategize, and take small steps towards the goal. What is the goal? What action steps will you need to take to accomplish this goal? These steps are the small goals that you need to focus on; one at a time.
Achieving a few small goals while working towards the big goal brings about a feeling of accomplishment and joy. Do not let this distract you, your mission is not over. Use these small wins as motivation and fuel to push you onward.
Do not get content. It is important to know that if you want to achieve more in life, you have to strive to do more than what you are currently doing.
You will view the common challenges in life as much smaller. When you are trying to make your first billion dollars, a leaky faucet seems like small potatoes. When your plan for the evening is to binge-watch TV, a leaky faucet can make you think, “I just can’t catch a break.”
Negative thoughts are dream killers!
Are you plagued by mental negativity? Do you say negative things to yourself? Do you worry about the future? Do you criticize yourself and spend too much time focused on what you lack? On the journey to being a boss, these challenges are normal.
Do not be discouraged and do not give up. Look at challenges as ways to grow and develop. A way to sharpen your learning, thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Think about a time in your life when you were challenged by someone you didn't like. Did you strategize and plan out ways to defeat them? How important was it to you to do so?
What motivated you to plan it out? What drove you to feel you had to come out on top? Was it how people would look at you if you did not? Was it just your competitive nature that drove you to want to win that challenge? Whatever it was, this is the attitude to have when facing your personal life challenges?
Approach it with an I must-win mentality. Not that, I do not know what to do so I will just sit here let whatever happens to happen. You must guide the outcome in a positive and favorable way that benefits you without harming anyone else in the process. The key is not to submit to circumstances. Don’t get comfortable, don’t’ just settle for things being what they are. There is always a way to get it done.
The question is, are you strong enough? Do you want it bad enough? Are you courageous and driven enough to put in the work to find it? Bosses come up with solutions to problems. If they can’t figure it out themselves, they surround themselves with people who can, but they get it done.
Therefore, developing a prosperity/wealth mindset is crucial in making this transition from employee to boss. Lots of people have made this transition but probably never thought of the steps they used to do it. For some, it just comes naturally. Having a prosperity mindset is a factor in reaching this transformation goal. It’ll help keep you on track regardless of any challenges you encounter along the way.
Use these strategies to foster a prosperity mindset that can help and encourage you along your journey from thinking like an employee.
Plan for Success,
Visualize yourself as the person you want to be. Repeat a positive mantra throughout the day. To transform, you have to speak of and carry yourself as if you are already in business. When you talk to others, don’t say things, like I’m starting a business or I, 'm trying to do x y z. You're not trying to do anything, YOU'RE DOING IT! Speak with confidence. Own it. I have my own business doing x y z. Say I filed for my LLC today. I hired a logo designer; my website is being developed, even if it’s not. What you will be doing is speaking these things into existence.
The site may not be physically in development but mentally you are putting ideas for it together. This moves you into action. This is a mental game you play on yourself. Think about it this way. The people you are saying these things to are going to hold you accountable. If you do not take action, they will call you out.
Therefore, planning and taking action is not only crucial to your motivation and drive, but to your reputation and success as well. Keep you moving towards your goal! Make a list of activities that you could do each day to support your goal.
