       Title Page:

GM’s LS and new LT1 engine platforms share some of the same technology but have some important differences. For swap projects, many of the same procedures for swapping an LS apply to the new LT platform. Upgraded from the LS series, the LT-series engine uses the same basic architecture, but it also features significant new technology, such as direct injection.

       Top:

General Motors brought out the LT4 in 2015. This is a supercharged version found in the Corvette Z06. The biggest differences from the LT1 to LT4 are lower compression and slightly stronger pistons and rods to handle the additional boost.

       Middle:

In an LS swap project, late-model transmissions are often longer and require a different mounting position; therefore, the shifter needs to be relocated and the transmission tunnel modified.

       Bottom Left:

I recommend pre-wiring the pump and pre-installing the hose fittings because once the tank has been installed, you do not have much room to do this.

       Bottom Right:

For most swap projects, adapter plates are required to mount the Chevy small-block motor mounts to the LS block. But bolting the adapters to the engine is pretty simple: four socket head bolts and you are done.
