      GET DOWN OR LAY DOWN!

This book takes the reader into the heart of the ghetto. It’s about how niggas feel about people from other places coming into their cities and hoods, invading turf, taking over and changing their rules of the game; whether it’s the fluxation in the narcotics, or how and where they sell their drugs, or more important the way they capture the attention of the hood women.

This tells how one fed up brother, who wouldn’t bow down to the outsiders, forms a click of renegade gangsters from various gangs who team up to cause death and destruction to those who have came to their city to rape all the hood’s riches and take them home to their cities.

Pleading allegiance to their chief’s “cause”, none of them fearing anything but their fearless leader, DIG A HOLE, they go on a murder spree filled with a direct message…… GET DOWN OR LAY DOWN!

All praise is due to the Lord God Almighty.

I send my love to my Grandma Eula Belle Johnson. I know you’re watching over me and proud of the changes I’ve made. I love you relentlessly. Thank you for your patience and persistence, especially while I wasn’t focused. I now understand what you meant when you said, “Everything is obtainable.” I only wish you could have lived to see the first black President Barack Obama. Momma your light still shines on through me.

To my beautiful children Donte, LaShyla, Derrick Jr. and Jewell. Ya’ll are why I keep striving!

      ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Much love and respect to all the brothers of the struggle. It’s been a long time coming, but now we up in this bitch!

I send a shout out to Snoopy, Galen, KT, Biz, Andy, Montey, Cleatus, Duffy, as well as Lyn (my stepmother). Thanks for taking me in and accepting me as your own; truth be told I don’t know where I’d be had you not. My gratitude and respect for you is immeasurable.

To my beautiful mother Vivian, you are truly one of a kind. Even with our ups and downs, I know you are truly irreplaceable. And because of this I wouldn’t change one thing because it’s taught me to appreciate you and treasure all of our good times together. I love you unconditionally.

Carla you’re the greatest. God couldn’t have given me a better sister. To my brother Allan, I know we’ve not seen things eye-to-eye but it’s never stopped the unconditional love I have for you. Nothing, including time and space, can change that.

To my aunt Jeweline and cousins Bobby, Chrissy, Dee-Dee and Lamont: although our family is small, the love is tremendous because we’re all we got. Uncle Kenny, I’m definitely on my way. To my nieces Brittany and Briana and nephew Torry, I’m very proud to have kin such as ya’ll. Uncle Derrick loves ya, always!

To my brother-in-arms Trell, we’ve seen and done it all: the bond we share is unbreakable. To my nigga DC, what’s really good! What up Green Eyes, my Sirconn Gangsta.

Much love to my cousin Terrance, aka Scrilla, at USP Atwater.

      PROLOGUE

“Hurry the fuck up man! Close the trunk!”

Quarter Man did as told and kicked the leg of the victim back into the trunk and slammed it shut. It was a cold dark evening in Murderapolis; as cold as a hooker’s heart.

As I sit here trying to figure out how the following events took place, I’ve slowly come to realize that what many of today’s rappers rap about was just another average day for a small group of men called the Bogus-D-Siples.

In a state known as The Land of 10,000 Lakes - at least that is the state’s slogan - for the pimps, dope boys, and thieves, it was a hustler’s paradise. Up north here we don’t vibe off of the out-of-towners coming into our city for any reason, but the dislike alone didn’t stop the flow of people seeking a piece of the pie up here. Consequently, as a result of their being here, a click was formed of local guys from various gangs; those who just didn’t seem to fit in with their clicks.

Prior to forming the Bogus-D-Siples, we all hustled crack and the game was lovely. All the local
