He said also that it was a jolly good thing the Doctor did not ask for particulars, because if he had known that I was a bankrupt and just about to offer something in the pound, he would probably have expelled me on the spot.
Gideon asked me if I had done anything about the bankruptcy, and I told him privately that I had. But I did not tell him what.
