your normal assault, it would seem as they are unpenitiatable, carrying enormous weight causing you not a moments of rest, Just the sight instills awe, confusion and fear and before you can get to the problem, there’s another shield of protection before it, that you must overcome in your effort to slay the giants in your life. Verse 8 says: “And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, why are you come out to set your battle in array? Am not I a Philistine, and you servants to Saul? Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. (9) if he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, them will you be our servant and serve us. (10) I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man that we may fight together.” In other word why are you trying to find a solution to your problem, situation, circumstance where there is none, You’re weak, worthless and unable not only to fight me, but you can’t even stand before me, Your problems, your situations, your circumstances are going to take your down, and kill you, if you won’t commit suicide, I defy any solution you think you can come up with, I’m bigger than your remedy, I’m a Giant you can’t slay, but if you think you can bring it on, make me bow down before you, make me eat my words, make me leave your alone, if you can. [Verse 11] “When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.”

We have a tendency to let our problems get the best of us, to bring us down, to stress us out and instill fear in us, sapping our courage in the face of the problem, situation, circumstance, we coward in the face of danger. Skipping down to verse 16: “And the philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.’

Some of us been in fear of our grants more than forty days, suffering under the threat, conditions, circumstance, situations, problems, morning, noon, night, day in and day out, months or years at a time, our circumstance won’t let us rest until we fight or make up our minds to confront our giants on the opposite mountains that’s trying to defy and bring us down with defeat. In verse 23. “David heard Him” We need to come to a place of hearing and recognition of our problem, situation or circumstance before we can start looking or finding a solution to defeat our giants. In verse 26: “David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, what will be done to the man that kill this Philistine and take away the shame from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the Living God?

After David was made aware of the threat, he didn’t even consider his Largeness; meaning we shouldn’t even dwell on the size of our problem. David had no doubt he could get rid of the problem and restore honor to Israel, we must not doubt ourselves or our abilities, to overcome and defeat our situations, circumstance or problems that defy the will, peace of God in our lives going to verse 32, David told King Saul’ “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”

Notice, David is not looking at how big he is or all the protection he has or the weapons he’s carrying or even the shield bearer before him, he sees him as only another Philistine insignificant piece of trash in the way at progress, we too need to look at our giants as insignificant messes of obstruction, once our minds decrease the size, weapons, dangers, drawbacks, and began viewing the solution. Looking at the possible outcome, shedding doubt of our inabilities and strengthening our abilities to overcome in the battle that we put in array.

Sure they may say we’re too young or lack experience, but look at what David replied to Saul when Saul said, you are but a youth and he’s a man or war verse 33.

“David said unto Saul, your servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear and took a lamb out of the flock and I went out after him, and smote him; and delivered it out of his month; and where he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him, and killed him. Thy servant killed both lion and this bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he has defied the army of the LIVING GOD. The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine

You must be confident, you must be positive, you must rely on your past victories, you must know that God is without any doubt a Deliverer in the time of your battle, in the time of your need, in the time of your situation, in the time of your circumstance, he never fails. As you began to arise above your situation you’ll come up out of your depression, you’ll overcame that anxiety, your reposition that stress and use it to your advantage in the upcoming battle against your giants.

In verses 38–39 Saul tried to give David some of the army protective wear, it didn’t fit, David was uncomfortable and felt at a disadvantage although he appreciates what the king was trying to do, he declined the offer.

Lot of people mean well and have great intentions, but, only you know what works best for you in any given situation in David’s case he only took five smooth stones and a sling and God’s protection and he step to opponent who disdained him, he felt Israel was making fun of him, sending a child to do a man’s job and curse David by his gods assuring himself of the victory making Israel servants of the Philistines [verses 38–47]

“then said David to Goliath, you come to me as and approved man or war, with weapons or a soldier, but, I come to you in the name of the Lord of host. The God of the armies of Israel who you have defied. This day will the Lord deliver you in my hand, and I will smite you, and will take your head from you, and I will give the bodies of the army of the Philistines this day unto fowls of the air (vultures) and to the wild beast of the earth: that all the earth may know, there is a God in Israel. And everyone here will know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into my hands and I will smite you and will take your head from you and I will give the bodies of the army of the Philistine this day unto the fouls of the air (vultures) and to the wild beast of the Earth: that all the Earth may know there is a God in Israel, and everyone here will know that the Lord sayeth not with sword and spear, for the battle is the Lord’s and He will give you in my hands.

A powerful declaration with a positive outlook on what was to happen beforehand. When you know that you know, and that you have come to the only conclusion to your problem, situation, circumstance, you are now on your mountain opposite of your situation, out of the very of depression booted and suited for the Lord’s battle, which you will overcome with the assured victory as David prevailed over his giant, his Brother who slew Goliath Brother and many of David’s servants slew other giants, you are now able to slay your giants.

But unlike David when I enter battle with my giants, I have to get dressed for battle, you see I have to take unto me the whole armor of God, that I may be able to withstand in those evil days, and it’s a must in having done all that I can do, is to stand with my waist, belted with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness [Ephesian 6:14] faith and love [I thess.5:8] my feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking my shield of faith, which I’ll be able to Quench all the fiery darts of the enemy, I’ll put on my helmet of salvation [Eph.6:15–17] and hope [I Thess 5:8], the sword of the spirit, which is the word God, residing in a state of prayer, with a spirit of perseverance [Eph.6:17–19] now I’m ready for battle with my Giants. I am now a Giants slayer, I can and will do the impossible through Christ who strengthen me and in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us [Romans 8:37]

Now that I’m ready for battle, I gather strength by prayer and fasting, this is the foundation of my defense, I make the connect with my forces commanding General and Chief I give myself completely over to his guidance and instructions he has the battle plan for my victory, how can I lose with the plan he use.

I approach my giants, engage them in battle and I am victorious time and time again, I cut off the head of my giants, as they say, if you cut off the head the body will die. I bring that old head back and show that all my giants have been defeated, I am proud, I am not boastful but humble, I’m empowered with a love that can’t be defeated, it ables me to overcome all problems,
