“How does that feel?”
“Hmmm.” I moan. He doesn’t stay there, he continues downward going to his knees so he can reach my feet. Making his way back up, he stops midway spreading my folds…he takes his tongue and strokes it over my clit.
“You’re sore?”
“Just a little.”
“Looks like I overworked this sweet little pussy.”
“Yes, maybe...but I’d do it all over again.”
Pulling me up to my feet he takes me under the shower heads. He wets my hair and starts to wash it.
“Stay with me today, Vanessa.”
“Ian, I can’t I have to go to work.”
“Call off.” He says in a pleading voice.
“I can’t.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be having dinner with me tonight?”
“Yes, but that’s tonight.”
“Well then, just tell Bret you are taking the day to show me places.”
“That could work, but I would still have to go to the office and pick up the list.”
“I see.”
After he rinses my hair, he quickly washes then turns off the water.
He reaches out and grabs a towel and dries me, then wraps the towel around his waist. “Go lay down while I put coffee on or would you prefer tea?”
“Coffee sounds great, thank you.” I climb into bed, gathering the pillows to prop myself up.
Sitting here alone I start to think about everything that’s happened since last night...my fight with Shayne…I still don’t know if he was serious about calling off the wedding, but does it matter? If I honestly loved him, I wouldn’t have done what I did. I wouldn’t be here right now in another man’s bed. A man I barely know, a man who makes me feel things I’ve never felt before. I need to figure this out. What is this between Ian and me? I already know there’s nothing between Shayne and me anymore… I can’t go back, not now. I decide not to sit and wait for him to return. I grab a robe and head downstairs… I need to talk to Ian.
Halfway down I stop; I hear him talking to someone.
“Yes that sounds good, you have my email if you could send them ASAP. I’d like to get an early start. I appreciate that.”
He’s obviously on the phone…I stay on the stairs and wait.
“Excellent. Thank you, Bret.”
BRET! Is he talking to my boss!?
I hear him set his phone down. Slowly making my way downstairs, I hear my phone start to ring.
Shit! I hurry down into the kitchen, grabbing my phone from my purse.
“Hello.”
“Good morning, Vanessa.”
“Morning, Bret.”
“Ian just called me, told me he has freed up his day, the two of you are going to check out potential homes.”
“Did he now?”
“Just wanted to let you know I’m emailing him the list I put together. So, there is no need to come in.”
“Bret, I have to. I have an appointment today with Katherine, also.”
“Don’t you worry about her. I’ll handle that, you stay on top of Ian.”
If he only knew! “Are you sure, Bret?”
“Positive, Vanessa. You take care of Ian, I got the rest.”
“Okay thanks, Bret. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I turn to see Ian standing there with a smile on his face.
“See, all taken care of. Now, you can stay with me.”
“No…now we have to go look at houses, but first we need to talk.”
“Coffee first, then talk.” He tells me and pulls out a chair.
I take a seat at the island while Ian pours us each a cup.
“Cream? Sugar?”
“Do you have skim milk?”
“No, sorry that I do not have.”
“Okay, black with two sugars then please.”
He fixes us both cups and comes to sit next to me. “Ian, listen….”
Before I get another word out, he kisses me, then pulls back and says, “Good morning, Vanessa.”
I laugh. “I think we are a little late for that.”
Laughing back at me he says. “Better late than never. So, what is it you want to talk about?”
I take a deep breath.“Until last night, Ian I’ve never been with anyone, but Shayne and I know now that I can’t go back. He told me last night we shouldn’t get married. It does not matter if he meant it or not, I can’t go back after what I’ve done.”
“What we’ve done, Vanessa.”
“However you want to say it, Ian…I CAN’T GO BACK!” I start to cry. “I may be just a fling to you, and that’s okay, but I need to figure out where to go…what to do next.”
“For one, don’t ever refer to yourself as just a ‘fling’ I. AM. NOT. OKAY. WITH. THAT!” He growls out. “As for where you’ll go and what you will do…that’s easy, you will stay with me.”
“Oh no, Ian! I can’t do that, no way!”
“I don’t see a problem with it.”
“We barely know each other, Ian.”
“Oh, I beg to differ. I’d say after last night we know each other pretty well.”
“Sexually,
