A personal note to the reader from the author

The book, Mosis, is the second installment of the Cosmosis trilogy. It, in turn, paves the way for the third book in the series, Is, which, ultimately, portrays an inspiring new age, Shangri La scenario.

The Cosmosis trilogy is much more than meets the eye. It was written to be thought provoking, rich in symbolism, and spiritually stimulating. Due to the controversial nature of the Cosmosis series, the author has chosen to locate the essence of the story on Earth’s fictional twin planet, aptly named Bearth.

It is the author’s aspiration the reader will not be too distracted by the few name and word changes; they are not, however, meant to be confusing.

Enjoy the voyage, realizing that although it takes place on Bearth, the ideological final outcome of the trilogy could become reality on any planet populated by human beings willing to change for the good of mankind.

      Peace, harmony, and love.

      Dedication

The author dedicates this book, Mosis, to everyone, and in particular to all those aspiring to discover your true nature and purpose for existing. You’ll realize there is so much more to life than just gratifying your material desires and wallowing in frivolous pleasures. It is with great hope, a few souls will take the challenge and completely transform their lives, becoming a model for the entire population. For the world changes, only as we change, one by one.

Mosis is also dedicated to some of my closest friends: Koen, Yolanda, John, Ralph, Warren, Dennis and Al. All of you have challenged, and encouraged me to accomplish my goals.

      Many Thanks.

      Preface

There’s a planet in a distant universe, approximately one

hundred light years away (give or take one or two -- after

all, what difference does a couple of light years make, when

real space travel is just in it’s infant stages) from our planet,

Earth. The amazing fact about this world is, it’s so similar, it

might be considered Earth’s twin. Even its name, Bearth, conjures up a likeness that defies explanation.

Every detail of Bearth’s existence parallels that of Earth: its

history, physical environment, its politics and religions.

They are all so analogous to ours; you would swear these circumstances couldn’t, conceivably, exist, but they do.

Some of the words, places, and people are going to sound

and seem slightly familiar (they are not, however, misspelled).

Keep in mind, this is a parallel planet, in a counterpart universe, with equally similar human beings. Any similarities are purely coincidental. They are not based on or about any real people or places on our planet Earth.

      Chapter 1

      Revelation

“Mosis, mosis,” each of the triplets kept blurting out.

The nurse was shocked upon hearing any new born baby attempt to speak.

What are they trying to say? she asked herself, while quickly running to alert their parents.

“They’re making an effort to communicate. I’m not exactly sure what they’re saying, but it sounds like mosis, mosis,” the nurse stated dumbfounded.

Jeffrey and Monique looked at each other and, simply, nodded. They were, acutely, aware what their three new additions were struggling to convey, and what it signified. For the moment, it would remain their secret.

The newly endowed parents endeavored for many years to conceive a child, now there were three. Jeffrey flashed back to his dreamy coma. He recalled the coincidence of Jason’s mother’s perceived inability to conceive; yet, it ultimately took place. His wife, too, was told by many of her doctors it was beyond hope to become pregnant. Presently, here they were, three babies, a boy and two girls, seemingly in perfect health and making an effort to communicate the first day they arrived.

“Please bring the babies to me. I feel, relatively, resilient, and they must be nourished,” Monique requested.

“Are you certain you can cope with their excited behavior? asked the apprehensive nurse.

“They seem to be very animated, and very loud with this mosis, mosis thing.”

“Please bring me them,” she reiterated.

Monique gave the nurse a reassuring look.

Following her assertive instructions, she left the room. The nurse returned wheeling a carriage carrying the very boisterous triplets.

“Mosis, mosis, mosis” they kept mouthing, and wouldn’t stop.

Only when Monique began to breast feed them did they begin to quiet down. Jeffrey looked on admiringly knowing the three souls they brought into the world would be well cared for and loved. They couldn’t have been born to anyone else; their likenesses were too evident to be any conceivable fluke. Monique and he knew the challenge before them, and both promised to make sure their three new additions would grow up to leave an unprecedented impression on the planet.

      Chapter 2

      Mind Over Matter

Always be positive when it comes to the power of the mind. Never doubt the ability of the body to naturally heal itself. Together, they are capable of wondrous miracles.
