the Persian Gentleman being with me) because we are saying very definitely this is the third chapter …but we hope it is and that I haven’t missed anything out and that this will follow on in the sequence it is supposed to. [The Persian Gentleman is our name for another guide from Joseph’s soul group who sometimes communicates with us.] Having spoken about death and having spoken about the Lower Astral and how people become stuck because of their own perception of death and life, we have to talk about the process of getting to one of the higher levels…

No one is left alone in death.

There is always someone who comes for them and who knows in advance because they are given information from higher authority (and by that I don’t mean the Godhead, I mean spirits who are more elevated than they are and more involved in the business of life and death and karma). They are given information from higher authority to say: ‘This person is about to pass over – would you like to meet them?’ Now that is important: would you like to meet them – because there is always the option (even with loved ones) of saying, ‘No, I would prefer someone else to go and meet them’ – always free will. We never order. We cannot order. So they receive a message in advance and they know that they will be collected at a certain time and they will be transported to an in-between area or vibration, because a newly-passed soul cannot raise its vibration instantly (there would be too much of a shock which would result in confusion, and the last thing we want to do is to impress new images on a mind that is already confused because it is not mentally ready for the transition) so there is an in-between stage. What happens to the soul depends on the soul’s perception of life after death and perception of life, so sometimes a relative will call for a soul and will appear to a soul at the moment of death.

I want to take away that fear of the moment of death, because on the physical level you see people who appear to be suffering and then draw a last breath; you may see people who are in great pain before they cross over and, from the physical perspective, it appears that a great, painful end has come to that person. Actually, the opposite is true because the release of the spirit is a peaceful affair and it is only the body that you are looking at that seems to be in such turmoil, such pain and such trauma. There is a moment of stepping away from the physical body and it is as simple as taking the next breath for the spirit that is passing… one moment they are perhaps in a bed, they are in pain, they are confused… and the next moment there is peace. The next moment they are still very much alive (in fact, more so) but there is peace. They can breathe again. They are without pain. They are without the stresses of the physical body and death has taken place. It is as simple as that! It is not the occasion or occurrence that many people think it is.

Your death, Reader, will not be the frightening experience that your cultures say it is going to be – no matter how you pass over. If you pass over in great pain, through an accident or through illness, there will be the moment of pain on a physical level and then suddenly you are free of it; suddenly you are standing tall again; suddenly you can breathe again; suddenly you are relaxed again; suddenly you feel better than you have felt for a long, long time… I digress.

If you are sufficiently aware spiritually to accept that there is life after physical death, then normally someone who you have known (a close relative, a close friend, or perhaps someone that you know as a brother or sister on a spiritual level but have never met on Earth but who you will recognise at the moment of death) will be waiting for you. That is what happens to you if you are aware of the process of things, if you are willing to accept that your family is waiting for you, if you are willing to accept that your friends are still alive.

For many people, however, there is an inbuilt need within the soul to continue a journey or to go somewhere as it were, and, for those people, illusions are set up to take them across from the vibrational barrier that buffers at one end with the Earth and at the other end with the higher levels of consciousness. A ‘journey’ needs to be set up; an illusion needs to be set up and so (and I have mentioned this in a previous communication) people get what they expect. They will, for example, step out of their physical body and find themselves confronted by a boat, or an aeroplane, or a train, or a carriage or any other of many vehicles waiting for them, and they will find themselves with other people who have passed and made the transition at that moment.

There will be, in charge of this vehicle, an organiser or organisers from higher levels of consciousness, and these people will instruct those who are newly passed into the spirit realms to board the vehicle and to remain calm. Your culture leans towards figures of authority; in times of panic there are those who say, ‘Remain calm!’ and there is built into your physical consciousness the will to obey people in such positions and to say, ‘Well, yes, this person knows what they are talking about.’ So, with newly-passed souls, in many cases, it is necessary for them to be told what to do: to be told not to panic; to be told that everything is alright; to be told that they must go here, and do this, and do that, and think this, and think that… in order to get them away from the physicality that they have just left. This collecting of newly-passed souls occupies their minds for long enough for them to be moved away from the attraction that may still be there with their physical body, so it is a smoke-screen; it is a busy-ness of the mind that gives them something to do.

Also it is important that they move onwards across the buffer – the zone that exists between the Earth and the first of the spiritual realms. So they will find themselves on a boat or in a plane with people who are in the same predicament (as they see it) and the vehicle will then appear to move across a landscape. That landscape may be a sky, or a desert, or a river, or an ocean – but there is the impression they are moving somewhere on a vehicle being organised by people that they instinctively know know better than them because of the Light that they give out from their auras: ‘Here are people in authority who know what they are doing. I am in a strange landscape in a strange place. I don’t know what is happening but I will follow them.’

Then the vehicle moves across this landscape (which I must impress on you is an illusion – just as everything else is) and appears to reach a destination. That destination is sometimes an airport, or a shore, or a railway station, or some other terminus and, when the vehicle reaches that destination, the people are instructed by the higher spirits that they must disembark.

We will return to the buffer zone, because souls obviously are moving into that zone or in-between state all the time in their hundreds – sometimes in their thousands – and many souls still believe that they are the limitation of the flesh: they talk a certain language, they respect a certain culture and so it is organised that that soul is met by people who appear to talk the same language, who appear to understand the same culture and be a part of that culture, so that they are comfortable or as comfortable as they possibly can be having made the transition.

The area between the earth plane and the first ‘sphere’ (I suppose I should call it) is a ‘buffer’ in more ways than one. It has a quietening effect on the souls after they have passed; it has a deadening effect on them with regard to the life they have just lived; it has the effect of filtering out many of the things that the souls will have externalised before they passed. If it did not do this then there would be more of a pull from the Earth to continue with the episodes that are going on in a soul’s life at the time that it makes the transition. In other words, it would still be worried about the payments for the house or the problems with a marriage or raising enough money – because all these things it has been immersed in for its lifetime and, yes, it will have to address the ramifications of the major dramas and the major karmic facets that have been around itself as it makes the transition but not at that point.

We have to move the soul on from the earth plane and this is another reason why there appears to be a journey, but the effect of the in-between zone or buffer or area of limbo is a deadening of that externalisation of circumstance that relates only to the physical Field. So, as the soul makes its supposed journey and as it travels across to that far shore, or that airport, or whatever the terminus happens to be, then the effects of the earth plane are deadened and lessened and loosened so that, as it sits there in its vehicle of choice
